Ka Loko Reservoir

Ka Loko Reservoir is a 400-acre reservoir located in Kauai, Hawaii. It was created in the early 1900s as a source of irrigation water for nearby agricultural lands. However, in 2006, the dam failed, causing a catastrophic flooding that killed seven people and devastated the surrounding environment. The dam has since been decommissioned, and efforts are underway to restore the area.
